Wish dad a happy Father’s Day with one of these simple and delicious drinks! A John Collins cocktail is a really simple but also popular recipe for whisky lovers – perfect for a last-minute gift for dad. Or even if you’d like to try out the new whisky you just gifted him.

Ingredients:

1 shot (45 ml) whisky, preferably bourbon
1 shot(45 ml) lemon juice

½ shot syrup or a teaspoon of light brown sugar
2 shots (90 ml) club soda

Maraschino cherry and orange slice to garnish
Ice

Method:

Shake bourbon, lemon juice and syrup with ice. If using sugar, shake other ingredients without ice until sugar is dissolved, then add ice.
Pour into a highball glass filled with ice, top up with soda water and garnish with the cherry and orange slice.
