• Description:

    Rice cereal is perfect for a baby’s first food because it is easily digestible and free of food allergies.

  • Ingredients:

    ½ cup brown rice

    4 cups of water

    Food processor/blender

  • Method:

    1. Add the uncooked brown rice to the food processor and mill to a fine powder.  
    2. Add the milled brown rice and 4 cups of water to a pot and bring to the boil. Lower the heat and cook with the lid on for 20 minutes.
    3. Check consistency and add water if you want it to make it thinner.
    4. Once satisfied with the consistency, pour the rice cereal into storage cups to freeze or refrigerate.  
    5. This cereal can be refrigerated for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for 30 days.
    6. To serve, heat up or thaw an entire cube of cereal.
